Simone Biles

Simone Biles was an American gymnast who was born on March 14, 1997 in Columbus, Ohio. She is considered by many to be one of the most outstanding athletes. She was the first female gymnast from America to ever win four gold medals in one Games. At Rio de Janeiro, she also became the first woman to ever win consecutive World All-Around titles. Biles, along with her sister Adria as well as her brother Ronald Biles were taken in as infants by their grandparents from Houston. Simone was introduced to the sport of gymnastics through her daycare instructor Aimee Borman when she was six years old. She stayed at Bannon's Gymnastix for 11 years. Biles won a gold in floor exercises and also a bronze in vault at the women's Junior Olympic National Championships in 2010. She then stepped into the top level of gymnastics in the year 2011. Within two years she had won the discipline. What stood Biles apart was her consistency her flamboyant attitude and the extreme level of difficulty she incorporated into her routines throughout all four events--vault uneven bars, balance beam, and floor exercise.
