Lisa Edelstein was an American actress, best known as the star of Fox's House medical show. Born in Wayne with a strict Jewish customs, she emigrated to New York City at the age of 18 and began studying theater at Tisch school of arts. Then, in the course of time she was active in the club scene, and was able to make enough headlines to get recognized by the media, while also becoming aware of the devastating effect of AIDS. Then she used her experience along with her fame and training to write and compose an original musical entitled Positive Me and also starred in the show. Awake In the Wild Side was her next job. Once the program was over it was time to do film as well as TV productions. She started with smaller roles, and then became established gradually as an actor.
